A little about The Crown Inn
The Crown Inn was built in the early 1800’s and has undergone a lot of changes over the years, including a bright and airy restaurant which has a distinctly relaxed, contemporary feel with wooden floors and calming colours It has unspoilt views to the north over Carlisle towards Scotland, and looks out over the Pennines to the east.
Next to the restaurant is a cosy well stocked bar with real ale, to the left of the bar are more tables for dining, this area being a winter favourite with natural slate floor and log burning stove ( a new addition).
We have recently refurbished the crown in November 2008, before and after pictures are available to view in the picture gallery
